I picked up a copy of Jonathan Coe's 'The Rotter's Club' purely because on the back of it was a bit of blurb written by Paul Merton, who is one of my favourite comedians. It said, 'Wonderful storytelling. It took me back to the 70s. And left me there. Help.'
