From today's Writer's Almanac: Today is the birthday of the playwright August Wilson who said, "Confront the dark parts of yourself. . . . Your willingness to wrestle with your demons will cause your angels to sing."

I haven't worked on the book since last November, but a lot of stuff has been happening lately that has shown me that it is time to get back to it. I want to get back to it. I'm stuck on a few issues, but I plan to go home, fix dinner, put the girls to bed, and then write a scene or two that I have in mind.

And I will be wearing my ice palace necklace, papersky.
