I just bought a new Sharon Mann Works workout DVD (I like Sharon Mann) which has a stability ball segment on it. I am trying to decide whether to buy a stability ball (where would I keep it in my office???) For now, I am using the girls' Hop 55. The only problem is that the handle makes it a bit difficult to roll back and forth. But it does work surprisingly well.

Really? I used to do her workout show, but now she has a new one where the music is too fast to do the moves properly and not re-injure my knees.

But the show I have been following just changed hosts to a icky guy with backup girls in lots of makeup, so I think I'm going to have to buy a couple of tapes.

What do you like about her tapes/DVDs?

Yes!

I like that she's friendly and encouraging without coming across like an airhead. I very much like the team she has exercising with her, and the modifications they show (and she shows how to do exercises both with and without equipment). The DVD allows you to mix and match segments, so you can get a number of entirely different workouts for the same price. It seems to be a very good value for the money.

Where to keep it in your office? Use it as a chair! I switched from a regular chair over a year ago, and I love it. You stay in motion so you don't get numb spots or chair-butt and it automatically improves your posture since you have no back to lean on. To be fair, my friend who sometimes uses this computer does NOT like it, but I think that's because she doesn't use it enough to develop any muscle tone....

I keep mine in the coat closet. The coats get the upper space, the ball gets the lower space. They manage to get along most times...

I did a Pilates ball class after doing two regular Pilates mat classes. The ball really upped the level of effort I was putting into the exercise. I really enjoyed it.

If you want to try one for a little while, I have one. (You can find them very cheap on ebay, btw.) Let me know. It's 55 cm.
