Ok, I spent an obscene amount of money at two garden stores today. Geraniums, peppers, lettuce, strawberries, petunias, marigolds, broccoli, zuccini, tomatoes, gladiolas, ixia, seeds for lavatera, cosmos, zinnia, larkspur, liatris . . .

And now I have to plant all this stuff. *whimper*

Ah yes. I spent a very hurried hour or so yesterday planting broccoli, tomatoes, lettuce, basil, cayenne peppers (all in plant form) and cucumbers, sunflowers, carrots and green beans (as seeds). Will need to do another seed round in a few weeks.

One thing about strawberries - you'll never have to buy them again. I started with a six-pack of plants in a box seven years ago, and have twice had to thin out the long flowerbed I transferred them to when we moved to our house the following year. They keep attempting to take over the planet.

The tomatoes and pepper don't need to go in the ground yet, really. They won't grow well until the soil warms up. Coupla weeks or so. You could probably just leave them on your patio for a while.

I'm glad you found some stuff for your pink garden.

K. [make a note to get some pink tulips this fall for next year]

Yeah, re: the tomatoes and peppers, I was going to get some wall-o-waters, but forgot. I'll pick a set up this afternoon after work.

And yes, I was definitely thinking that I'd like to put some pink tulips in this fall.

Gardens are a sublime pleasure. Putting the garden *in*, however...

Good luck with your planting! :)
