Paperwork snafu

pegkerrFiona has been running around like a chicken with her head cut off, trying to get everything lined up for her application to the University of Lancaster by the deadline, which was this past Monday. She kept checking the study abroad program's website, making sure they'd received everything, but it kept saying her transcript hadn't arrived. Which was weird, since she'd requested it from Augsburg three weeks previously. Then Augsburg went on spring break, so she couldn't go into the office to inquire, but she checked the website every day. No transcript.
She went in on Monday, the deadline, and the first day she could get in after break and showed them the duplicate of the check she'd paid to order the transcript.
Augsburg had no record of her request.
They'd lost the paperwork.
So it was a bad couple of days before she heard back from the study abroad administration. No, they wouldn't reject her just because her college is incompetent with bureaucracy. Presumably, they'll get the transcript on today or tomorrow (IF Augsburg actually managed to send it along this time) and then her application will be processed.
Phew.
