after eight hours. Oy. The CAT scan was normal, and the neurologist who examined her has ruled out stroke or tumor, which was, of course, all good news. So the diagnosis is, as [livejournal.com profile] snippy suggested, benign positional vertigo, caused maybe by a virus. She's been given some medication and is going to bed early tonight. We hope she'll be able to drive again well enough to return home to Kansas as scheduled. Keep your fingers crossed.

Well, that's good news but no fun nonetheless. Thanks for taking care of my girl!

Oh dear. My good wishes for a speedy recovery of whatever is going on, if you wouldn't mind relaying them.

Continuing hopeful thoughts.

If you'll forgive a plug...

If Kij's neurologist doesn't perform the repositioning maneuver [livejournal.com profile] snippy mentioned, one of the physical therapists I work with could help her. She has been specializing in vertigo for 15 years, is very skilled with the maneuvers, and is absolutely wonderful with the patients. We're in the Twin Cities, west suburbs; or I could try to find someone in Kansas for her. If you think she'd like more info, I'd be happy to send it to ya.

Good news, if not a fun experience. Thanks for taking care of our Kij while she was away .
