Belatedly posting a couple of pics

pegkerrThese were taken when Fiona and I went to Chicago last weekend for the wedding of my cousin's daughter.
New dresses for Fiona and me (and I threw over mine the silk Emerald House Rising coat I commissioned from an artist with part of my book check when I sold my first novel lo these many years ago).
(I about killed myself finding that dress. I stalked the mall for two days trying to find something that didn't make me feel dreadful about my body. The form-fitting sheathes popular in most of the stores right now are made for twenty-year old pretty young things. Um, like Fiona. And not for a 50+ woman who has had two children. But I'm happy with the one I eventually found.
Fiona, my perverse child, did not opt for a form-fitting sheath either, although she would look drop dead gorgeous in one. Instead, she opted for a dress with a full circle skirt, so that she could use it for her new obsession, contra dancing.)
It was a great weekend, and the wedding was terrific fun.
