Delia has already gone back to Eau Claire. Fiona and I usually have brunch on Sundays, but she had a conflict this Sunday, so we had dinner together on Saturday night. We took down the Christmas decorations, but since Delia couldn't be there, I didn't quite have the heart to do a Twelfth Night celebration. This is the first time in, what, a decade we haven't done something for Twelfth Night?

It feels wrong. It's the official end of my Christmas celebration. Christmas is over, but without he proper send-off.

Rob is gone. My girls are moving on with their own lives.

Change can be so hard.

Change is decidedly hard. And so is knowing which traditions to continue (and adapt) and which to cherish as memories. I really appreciate reading your reflections on the changes you're navigating.

My wish for you is that the year ahead may include a few soon-to-become-precious new celebrations and occasions.
