Here's this week's card, which is another two-element digital image.

This card is all about the help I received this week from a number of people after I got the bad news about Social Security: dropped off casseroles, consoling phone calls, and other most welcome assistance.

Thank you, everyone.

I played around for awhile with incorporating an image I'd found, of a woman floating on a raft, raising a lantern to the sky. I also played with the idea of incorporating a life preserver in the design. That concept of being rescued from drowning was a starting point that led to why I used the sea/sky background (I ended up using more sky than sea). But although I liked the background, I decided to keep it simple.

Succor

Hands reaching toward each other overlaid on a sea/sky background.

In design and meaning, this card is definitely related to an early soulcollage card, Trustworthiness.
