New Layout

I have a new haircut. I did spring housecleaning and threw out a dumpster's worth of stuff. Why not a new LJ layout? Something totally different, bright and cheerful to fit my mood.

I've seen some people have their entries set up so that they have an option for "Current Book" or "Currently Reading." How does one do that?

The Customize page is your friend; there's a button there to customize further, just click there and start playing. =)

On the customize page (http://www.livejournal.com/customize/) click on the 'customize' button at the bottom (it will say "edit customizations" if you're already been customizing things).

The text 'tab' is where you can change the wording of your currents.

Well, S2 is sort of weird in that not all styles can be customized the same way. The instructions I gave Peg were specific to her journal style. Your style doesn't allow this customization. The one with all the pinky colours crashes my browser every time I try to read comments on it, alas; things in blue appear OK, though, as this one is.

Why not a new LJ layout?

On April Fool's Day a couple of years ago, minnehaha B. opened our journal and found it in a whole new style, with a private post from me. "April Fool's!"

I do my Current reading entries manually. It should be entirely possible to customize a layout for it, but it's quicker for me the boring way. :)
