Wise Woman Photo Shoot

One of the suggestions I received this year for a Year of Adventure event from my friend John Walsh was the offer of a photo shoot. I've seen examples of what are called 'Crone,' 'Goddess' or 'Wise Woman' photo shoots, and the idea really appealed to me, as I wanted to spend this year exploring the gift of growing older. So John picked me up right before dusk, and we had a wonderful time shooting pictures along Minnehaha Creek, and on the outskirts of the Peace Garden, just across the street from the Lake Harriet Rose Garden.

I'm quite pleased with the pictures. What do you think?

Those are fantastic! I love the purple and blue sweater (?) in the sixth one.

I love them! Especially the one where you're resting your chin on your hand, in that colorful outfit, but they're all great. What an excellent and dleightful adventure!

I would say you bear a strong resemblance to General Leia. Fantastic shots.

I played a lot with that resemblance when I was younger and obsessed with Star Wars.

The orange leaf crown worked really well with the velvet coat. I especially like those, and the ones with the black cloak—the somber hue really focuses the attention to my face.

Really, all of these are favorites, taken from a much larger group. John took close to one hundred pictures during the shoot.
