Wish I'd heard Barack Obama's speech, but I was putting the girls to bed at the time. It sounds as if it was really great.

He really was outstanding. Oratory is such a rare skill these days, as politicians are all-too-ready to illustrate. Obama and Clinton brought down the house. Wouldn't it be great if the first black presdient of the US had an African name?

He was most impressive. He was equally impressive one-on-one with an NPR interviewer in a report I heard earlier.

I saw it this afternoon on the BBC Parliament channel, which has turned into C-Span this week. (Parliament is not meeting this week. :) They run everything live, but then they replay it later for those of us who are five hours ahead of Boston and can't stay awake that late. :) According to the captions on the television, there's a way to download videos of the speeches from the C-Span website.

It's worth it. The man can talk. He makes me want to move to Illinois just so I could vote for him! Let us hope he is elected to the US Senate!

I can't believe I missed last night. The one night of the convention that I had to work and it apparently had the best speaker. I hope he wins, from the video feed I watched and the speech I read, I hope he gets elected to the senate. Then who knows what will happen from there.
