I'd say he's doing a bang-up job of it already. If that's his intent, then I guess he's been successful in that sense.

It helps that the Reuters "news" service pre-Dowdified the quote, which it offers in full as '"Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we. They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we," Bush said.'

And that's what war-gaming is all about- figuring out what they could do to us, anticipatorily.

But we can look forward to a host of "gaffes" similar to this, all coming from the Bush camp; we will search in vain for "Reuters" mocking a Democrat for such "mistakes" as Gore's infamous inversion of our national motto last time~
