I have, many times at conventions, compared writing to working on a potter's wheel.

Here is an excellent post explaining why. Found it here cross-posted on [livejournal.com profile] readers_list.

I have done no Quicken tonight.

Rob cleaned the corner of my office which has been heaped with computer parts for years. I can actually see and admire my chair, which was supposed to be my cosy nest but instead was a source of stress and bad vibe, because it always seemed that if I sat on it, I would be attacked by a teetering stack of cannibalized hard drives. I don't know where he stashed the bodies, but it is probably best not to ask. It looks beautiful.

I have just eaten a bowl of plain nonfat yogurt with melted chocolate chips stirred in. Delicious.

Karate went well tonight, but I am still harassed because I don't know yet whether I will be continuing it beyond December.

There is another weekly commitment thingummy that I have to wedge into my schedule. Somewhere. I don't know how, and feel despair at the challenge this will pose for me, but it must be done; health reasons.

I have not written fiction for months.

I have a small stack of requests for book plates on the desk before me. I plan to get them done this weekend.

BeauSoleil is cool. Why do I not have more Cajun Zydeco music in my life?
