My screened in porch, my oasis

I love my newly re-screened-in porch. It is an oasis of calm in the chaos of my daily life. This weekend, Rob and I spent an absurd amount of time driving all over creation to get matching cushions for the seats. It is the end of the season, and you have no idea how difficult it was to find six matching cushions that would also work with our colors. We also got a (cheap) indoor-outdoor carpet for under the table and a tabletop votive holder. I really like the way it turned out.










I also ordered six of these hanging moroccan lamps, which I will hang from chains around the perimeter of the porch.






They will each be suspended above the aluminum planters that I'll keep in on the window ledges, which I plant with impatiens every spring.

It's wonderful to sit out there now, and it's going to be even prettier next spring.
