Im happy to say that the editor listened to my concerns about the cover and took them to her designer, and I'm so pleased with the revision:

Okay, this building doesn't show the city of Piyanthia on the scale that I envisioned. In my headcanon, what the cover is showing is maybe a guard tower or outpost along the Koh River at the entrance to the harbor that Piyanthia is built around.
I can live with it. In fact, I'm quite happy with it. When the editor told me that she was sending it back for a redraft, I didn't think the designer would do such a good job of incorporating my comments and addressing my concerns. And most importantly, it isn't stock art, but something that was designed specifically for this book. Hurrah!
