I haven't finished cleaning the house and I haven't finished the laundry. I haven't finished planting the irises that Mom sent me from Georgia--heck, I haven't finished ripping out the weeds in the strip behind the garage where they are going to go.
I didn't work out today. I didn't go to church.
I haven't finished the book. Big surprise.
Okay, I did finish the grocery list.
What was I doing today? Well, I spent it with my family. We went to Sears where Rob and I got our (very belated) anniversary picture taken. We do this every year. This year's turned out well. Then we went to Target and got a slipcover and new pillows for the incredibly ratty sofa in the family room/Rob's office. I got a throw and a pillow to cover the little chair in my office, so it's part of the color scheme of the rest of the room.
Sorry, am tired and a tad bit morose, and cannot think of anything witty and/or entertaining to post here, so you are stuck with this report reflecting the total banality that is my life at the moment. Check back later in the week. I'll try harder.

Date: 2004-09-20 04:51 am (UTC)One cannot, by the very nature of the task, finish it. Even as one scrubs the floor, more dirt is entering the premises. Even as one folds the last load, the family is wearing more clothes that will need to be laundered.
I'm still trying to accept the truth of this.
