Glare report 10/19/04

Not much to report, as I only did a little research reading yesterday, just enough to determine that there weren't many more chapters of Fire and Ice that are going to be of use to me. I skimmed the chapter on Winter Carnival parades and glanced at a couple other on Carnival events and memorabilia. I don't need to know that the drum majorette competition was once one of the most cut-throat aspects of the carnival. I have no plans to make Solveig a drum majorette. I am sure you are all relieved.

personally, i think that her mother ought to be a former drum majorette, and (like the 'beauty queen' moms) pressure solveig to enter. or to have her daughter enter. she does not understand that the glory which was the drum majorette competition is now past.

or maybe rolf was a DM, once?
