I am never ordering anything from AlphaCraze again. I ordered the book on the history of the St. Paul Winter Carnival from them, and I really need it, but it never arrived. Supposedly it was shipped on 9/20. Needless to say, my credit card was immediately debited.

They have no toll-free customer service number, which is probably a bad sign. They have a long distance number to call, but all I got was voice mail. I've sent two e-mails. Both times I got "This is an automatic reply. Someone will reply to your question within two business days." Then nothing. The message went on: "We are experiencing a high volume of e-mails." Yeah, I'll just bet.

I'm only out about $17.00, but it's still highly irritating. First time I've been cheated on the Internet. Am not sure what to do now. I suppose I can contact my credit card merchant about refusing to pay since I never received shipment. I have a couple of days to decide.

Call the credit card company, and tell them you won't pay. If you ever get the shipment, you can send these people a check. In the meantime (a) you shouldn't pay for something you never got and (b) the chargeback might get their attention.
