I may have mentioned this before, but since [livejournal.com profile] slacker_genious pointed out on [livejournal.com profile] poor_skills that gas prices are going up it's probably worth mentioning again.

Go to Gas Buddy to find lower-priced gasoline in your area. It is comprised of 170 gas price information web sites that help consumers find low gasoline prices. Since gasoline prices change frequently and may vary by as much as 20 percent within only a few blocks it is important to be able locate the service station with the lowest priced fuel.

In my area (Minneapolis St. Paul) I use TwinCitiesCasPrices.com. It works, too. I check the website and find that prices range today from $1.85 to $2.09, and I can find the cheapest gas in my area.

Peg, thank you so much.

I just visited the Albany website, and found out that all of the gas stations between my house and my office (where I usually stop) are in the highest priced grouping. But just three blocks out of the way is the lowest price in the area! You can bet where I'll be stopping on Monday morning...

Glad I could help! Remember to check right before you buy, because the prices change all the time, and what is cheapest today may be the most expensive tomorrow.

We were driving home from further north in England today. We didn't buy petrol at the first motorway services because it was 85.9p a litre. And then the next one was 87.9p, but we were desperate. :(
Fine. We bought a fiver's worth, which was enough to get us home.

What a rip-off! I can buy it near work for 79.9p a litre. Aargh!
