My housemates swear by nutritional yeast, but they're crazy people. crazzzzzzy. One of them drinks nutritional yeast and orange juice. (or maybe soymilk and nutritional yeast. He also drinks soymilk and orange juice, so my confusion should be understandable)
I like the microwave popcorn with cinnamon (but without the sugary "frosting" that comes in the box. I haven't tried adding cinnamon to popcorn made from scratch, since I don't do that anymore, but I'm betting I'd like it.
Brewer's Yeast - the golden buttery tasting Torula kind, not the brownish yeasty tasting stuff. It adds protein and cuts the salt and butter I would be tempted to put on it.
I also sometimes do a savory one of powdered garlic, hot paprika and a touch of cayenne pepper.
Lawry's and butter; better yet, Johnny's Dock and butter.
In a pinch, toss hot popcorn with some sort of flavored chip like Doritos, barbecued potato chips, etc. The popcorn will seem to have an odd consistency, but it's fun. And the chips are good warm!
tabasco, or some other dyluted pepper thingy. Lime,
If you make popcorn in a saucepan instead of the microwave, any oil that was used for bacon, or garlic or any other sseasoning that is strong in flavour makes a killer popcorn.
instead of melting the butter or margerine, just dip the popcorn in it. very very nice. those butters or margerines with olives, herbs and such go well too.
Raisinets -- mix them into freshly popped popcorn and they get all squishy. Sprinkle salt on and you get a mix of sweet, squishy, salty and crunchy. Yum.
In Denmark people hardly EVER put anything other than salt on their popcorn (still my favourite way to eat them), but in New Zealand my hostmother would use sugar instead. I don't know if I like it or not... it may be an aquired taste.
my husband puts brewer's yeast on his popcorn, claiming it makes him feel more full after eating it. It's kind of an odd flavor, but I thought I'd share.
About ten years ago, Orville Reddenbacher had a cheddar and chive popcorn. It was incredible. <3 the results aren't exactly the same with real chive, but it's still really good.

The packet cheese that comes in boxed Macaroni and Cheese.
Throw in a handful of dry-roasted peanuts.
I've done the M&Ms and salted popcorn, too. Will vouch for yummyness!

my favorite popcorn making method: the old dome poppers with hotplate type bottom or the plastic microwave poppers.
worst popcorn ever: any microwave "movie butter" type. ick.
