I give up

These contacts are not working. Although I am adjusting to the left lens, the right one continues to irritate, and I can feel the headache through the Ibuprophen. I have taken them out and called the clinic, and they are ordering a different lens for the right eye. I will give them one more chance, and then if it still doesn't work, I suspect I will try someone else.

My wife went through something similar with her last batch. For some reason, people seem unable to fill contact lens orders correctly these days. Very frustrating... Good luck!

Talk to the doctor's office. They can likely get the lenses for you, and it won't cost more than what you're paying now. Also, make sure they do a vision test after you put the contacts in (which I'm sure they are doing).

Depending on how bad the astigmatism is, and how thick the lens is, if you've never worn Toric lenses before, it may take a week or so to get completely used to it.

How long are you wearing them a day? When I first got contacts the optometrist had me start off with around 2 hours a day and acclimate to them very gradually.

Hi. I've been reading your journal for a while, and I'm not sure I've ever commented on it, but I thought to let you know I'd just finished one of your books not five minutes ago. And it seems appropriate to tell you here, because I wouldn't have bought it if I hadn't recognised your name from the journal (I knew you were a writer, but didn't really know what you'd written).

It was The Wild Swans, and I cried.

Thanks.

Thank you! Hearing that my book makes a reader cry is the ultimate compliment. Thank you for letting me know, and I hope you stick around and keep commenting.

additionally (at least why it's been hard for them to get it right) some torics don't come in every single individual degree of rotation to correct for the astigmatism, so they have to try 5 degrees one way or 5 degrees the other (at least from my experience).

I suppose perscription protective athletic goggles aren't the answer for your sparring needs either?

I suppose perscription protective athletic goggles aren't the answer for your sparring needs either? Alas, no. We wear protective helmets, and glasses don't work with them.

My aunt and I cannot wear contacts at all. Our eyes just won't tolerate them. It stinks.
