I still feel terrible, but don't think I can take another sick day, so back to work I go. I'm sure they'll be thrilled to have me back at my desk, making all sorts of disgusting gurgling noises (the term we use in my family is "You sound like a snurglepuss"). My brain is only at about a quarter of where it needs to be. Hope it's a low effort day at the office. I was too sick to do any gardening this weekend (well, admittedly, the weather didn't help because it has been raining so much) and my lawn looks like a jungle. I'm expecting a ticket from the city any minute.

On the plus side, however, I got a lot of Quicken done yesterday, almost all of it. Go me. So: clean up the office, finish taxes (they're not done yet, God help me) and then I can get back to the book.

Poor dear--there are few things worse than having to go to work sick. I hope this passes quickly.

Very few people in my neighborhood, even the fanatically tidy, have been able to mow their lawns. It's just been too wet. I think the city would really have its hands full if it tried to ticket everybody.
