Maybe this isn't a cold
May. 25th, 2005 09:35 pmbut allergies instead. I will try taking Fiona's Claritin tomorrow.
It feels like the inside of my lungs are coated with a thin coat of rubber cement, and I cannot get rid of it, no matter how hard I cough. Urgh.
It also seems to be affecting my brain (perhaps the lack of oxygen). Am at very low ebb tonight. Not even trying to write; will soon go to bed.

Nettle Leaf for allergies
Date: 2005-05-26 11:37 pm (UTC)Last year I tried taking Nettle Leaf (Stinging Nettle), out of desperation, and it worked better than any of the pharmaceuticals I'd taken before that. Last summer was the first one in living memory that I could actually ENJOY the summer, instead of hiding from it wherever air conditioning may be found.
FYI. Can't guarantee it'll work for you, but Dr. Andrew Weil swears by it, and my sister swears by Weil, so I gave it a try and now I swear by it, two capsules of the Solaray brand, three times a day. The freeze-dried stuff is supposed to be the best, but it's also more expensive, and the Solaray works well enough so far. If you try it, just make sure you're getting Nettle Leaf and not "leaf and stems and bits and pieces."
