When I was a teenager, I attended a party (surprise!) where a guy was making ice cream. I asked him what kind it was, and he replied "banana quahog".
Turns out it was actually orange sherbet, and the guy was having us on, but the thought alone was disgusting. Avocado seems tame by comparison--I'd try some!
