I love this sum-it-all-up line from the New York Times' review of War of the Worlds:

"War of the Worlds" is rated PG-13. Much of the earth's population is wiped out, leaving very little time for sex or bad language.

Oh, so THAT'S what the Bush administration is up to with all of this war business...?? Cleaning up the planet from all that profane language and behavior? I guess that's one way to do it.
