I am holding it in my hands

The store was a madhouse; didn't get out until 1:15 a.m. We have all day tickets to go to Valleyfair tomorrow, the local very good amusement park. I have mixed feelings; Valleyfair is fun, but it's supposed to be OMG 95 degrees (at least there are water rides). Staying up all night to read may be wise, but how can I not? And I won't have time to finish.

Not sure how this will work. I may write reactions through the night; I will put spoilers under separate cut tags, denoted by page numbers.

I have gotten to page 9 and have already laughed out loud several times.

Oh . . . and by the way, I have disabled anonymous posting, for the time being, but will turn them on again when I've finished the book.

So am I :) Unfortunately my book store only received the adult cover version :( Fortunately my parents don't care which version they get, so they are willing to trade with me, if they get the childrens version :) (I wouldn't care if it wasn't for the fact that ALL my others has the colourful covers - I'd like them to match.

I took a quick look at page 606 - for what it's worth in the adult version it's NOTHING at all like the picture posted. It's no guarantee, it may still be from the childrens version, but it makes me a bit more hopeful.

I had to disable anonymous comentes in my journal, too. Within a few minutes of posting that I had the book, some random jerk posted a comment that I assume was meant to be a spoiler. Fortunately, I saw the stupid large print and mulitple exclaimation points and deleted it before any of the words registered.

What the heck is the matter with people?
