I had a computer built for me that did this. I packed it so full of goodies that it became too hot inside. When the CPU overheated, everything shut off. If you keep turning it back on and the time between shutdowns get shorter and shorter, this may be your situation. If it isn't happening very often, a stronger fan and a fan on top of the cpu may take care of this. Mine was so bad that we instaled a powerful fan on top of the case blowing out so all the hot air was pulled out.
