I was just thinking of you. My son has been stomping around the house sulking all evening since I told him that getting out of school to see Neil Gaiman was his sister's birthday thing, and that he would not be coming. (She's been looking forward to this for weeks, but then Neil cancelled a signing.)
Now I have an indignant-looking blue quilt stalking through the house. Earlier it stalked past the kitchen table out into the garden, sulked, then stalked back through to see if anybody had noticed. At this very moment it is sulkily refusing to eat a cream puff that is birthday cake.
