One more pound and I'll be back at my all-time highest weight.

I am very bitter about this.

Do you have a game plan for not getting there?

Well, theoretically exercise, but it doesn't seem to be making much difference so far.

I am AT my all time highest weight. I need to work on that exercise thing :p

But, judging by the amount of exercise you get -- take measurements, including body fat. I'd bet you are nowhere NEAR your all time largest measurements/clothing sizes/body fat

A bit of sweetening for your bitterness -- remember that muscle weighs more than fat. It's all those pushups returning to haunt you.

I just weighed in last week. After losing something like 10 lbs, I was down to: My previous all time high weight, the one that shipped me off to "fat camp" aka the George Washington University Medical Weight Loss program in the first place.

I work for a month? And I'm back down to my high weight.....

Boy do I emphathize. I got back up to my highest weight once too, it was difficult for me to deal with. I try not to step on the scale very often though, in part because I can't handle the dissapointment, but mostly because I can't handle the obsession. If I weigh myself regularly, I tend to start obsessing about my weight and everything I put into my mouth, which generally leads me to stop eating altogether. Which is not good. Right now I'm struggling with getting myself into the habit of exercising regularly. When I do exercise, I feel pretty proud of myself (I jogged nearly three miles one day!)... but I have a hard time waking up early enough to actually get out and exercise at all. I've also heard about the "three hour diet" -- the idea behind it (which of course isn't a new idea at all) is to eat several small meals every three or four hours. The idea is to provide your body a constant, steady stream of nourishment rather than doing what most people do -- eating a small breakfast (if any) and lunch, then overloading it with a big dinner just a few hours before going to bed. I've gotten to the point where I'm eating smaller meals and not overloading at dinner, but I haven't quite been able to get myself to eat every 3-4 hours yet. Anyway, my point is, I'm struggling with this too. *hugs*

You looked very good when I saw you Saturday; dare I say sexy? Is your bitterness at your weight due to the number or how you are feeling in your body? If the latter, which I think you remarked on before, is there something your body is telling you that you aren't hearing?

I wish you good health and long life no matter what your weight is.

I've said this before and I'll say it again: you can do 65 push-ups. There is NO WAY you will not have weight on you, but it will be muscle. It's the measurements that are relevant.

What Everyone Else Said--it's how you feel and where you are physically that matter, not what a scale reads.

Let me echo Kij's comment: the weight doesn't matter because you're currently exercising more. The measurements might, but if you're still at the same waist size (or smaller), then stop worrying. You certainly looked fit enough Saturday night!
