I am getting a spate of e-mail notifications from comments that were made days ago to my posts.

Weird.

There was an issue with comment emails being sent out, due to the recent server relocation. The issue has now been resolved, and all pending emails that previously were not sent are now being cleared out. You can expect some late emails to arrive while the backlog is cleared.

There was a message in the LJ news a few days ago. They had a bug where comment notifications weren't going out. And now they finally fixed the problem and are sending out the queue of notifications. Too bad there's no way to opt out of old notifications.
