I hadn't bothered to flesh this theory out myself, but I have been convinced, since reading Book 6, that this is the obvious reveal for Book 7. [livejournal.com profile] laurel_tx has kindly done it for me.

I am thinking about submitting a proposal for Lumos about the concept of memory in the books. Well? Would people find that interesting?

Memory in terms of manipulation, memory in terms of objective fact, memory in terms of subjective fact? All three?

Not sure yet, but I'd better whip up an answer soon! Proposals are due January 15!

I had that sense re: Snape as well. It fits very nicely, and the official revelation could make for some interesting bits in book seven.

And about time, too

The second or third post I ever made to HPforGrownups, back in 2000, theorized that Snape loved Lily. Glad to see you're finally coming around...took you long enough. Someday I'll go back and gather all my posts arguing that point, to make a compendium or something.

I've believed that theory about Snape for a long time now. Of course, if book 7 comes out and the theory isn't right, I'll probably be in shock. It doesn't matter though, can't wait for book 7!

yep! That's what I thought too- though I hadn't thought through the two masters part, that's even stronger evidence in my opinion.

You mean, things like how the Pensieves are used/function, things like that? I think it would be definitely interesting, yes.

Oh, hey, are you going to be at Lumos? I'll be there with several friends (most likely in a number of costumes), and would love to connect with you if there's a chance!

Tentatively, I'll say yes. I hope to be. Much will depend on factors such as can we get someone to stay with the kids, and the employment situation.

Well, I'll keep this in mind as the clock ticks closer to July, and will ping you later. Hope to see you, though!
