I know what you mean about not abandoning a book, except in my case it's movies. You know, just wanting to /know/ what happens at the end? I started watching 'The English Patient', and I knew I didn't like it... but I kept on watching anyway. And I still didn't get it. I also have a problem trying to pick a favourite movie. :)
