Following is one of my favorite Jane Austen quotations, which I just mentioned in a comment to scorpiosphynx:

`My idea of good company, Mr Elliot, is the company of clever, well-informed people, who have a great deal of conversation; that is what I call good company.'

`You are mistaken,' said he gently, `that is not good company; that is the best.

Persuasion, Chapter 16. That sums up for me pretty well the attraction of LiveJournal. That's also why I feel so cranky after a week of being unable to view my friends page (for I don't feel free to do so at work). I miss your good company.

Peg, we have a draft letter from the Board on which we'd quite like your and Rob's input. Is there any way that we can fax it to you? At a guess, someone will have your fax number.
