Another round of introductions

My friend of list is gettting truly frightening and is about to break 300. I last did this when the list was 100, but it's time for another round of introduce yourself, please? Who are you? How'd you find my journal? Why on earth do you keep reading it?

You're a Carleton alum? So is my husband. Have you read pameladean's book Tam Lin? It's a fantasy novel set at Carleton College, in the late 1970s (I think), except she calls it "Blackstock College." About my favorite book in the whole world.

I'm Carleton '02, English and Theater Arts (Scenic Design) double major. I've only been in Chicago for about a year, since graduation. And yes, I have read Tam Lin. It's become a cult classic on the Carleton campus by this point - I not only own one copy, but own, in fact, three copies (Min = big dork) - one paperback in good condition, one paperback in bad condition (for loaning out), and an autographed hardcover. About my favorite book ever, as well. Definitely in the Top 5.

And just so you know: I adored The Wild Swans and have been waiting on your other novel, via Chicago inter-branch loan, for almost three weeks now. It should get to my branch next week. Swans blew me away. I wept and wept, and you should really understand that you have written only the second novel that I have read start to finish in one sitting in my lifetime. And thank you. Thank you so much for that book. (Sorry. Done with the gushy fangirl stuff now. :P)
