Star Wars and Return of the Jedi are essentially the same plot and story, and even begin and progress in the same locations. Does that mean Return of the Jedi shouldn't have been made?

I had writer's block for seven years. I started the same novel over and over. And all I can think now when I look over what I wrote then is, "What did I think was so wrong with this? Why didn't I just keep working on it? Every version is fine," and the first was probably the best.

I know what you're going through, though, and it's hard. Best of luck.
