Jitters brunch report
Feb. 28th, 2006 09:18 amWe went to the brunch, and it was fun. Many thanks to all of you who donated: all of your items received bids and were eventually sold, and every bit helps! We were joined by several friends whom our family had invited, including
minnehaha B & K. One of the guests we had invited placed the very largest bid of all and won a week in New Mexico at the home of the grandparents of one of the kids. She was pleased to get accommodations out there for such a good price, and we were pleased by her generosity.
Only one flaw in the day. I was quite upset to discover that without telling me, Rob had put down a bid for a toaster, and Fiona had bid on two enormous stuffed animals. We already have a toaster oven taking up space on our counters, and why Fiona needs more stuffed animals when I am currently battling her to get rid of the ones she has is beyond me.
More clutter. Gah.
