Lovely to hear your voice for the first time - I hope you can find a way to pass the quiet day. However - something weird is going on with LJ - your phone post jammed up my entire Flist - yours is the only one I see. I've had to temporarily defriend you so I can read the rest of my list. When I click on your LJ directly, all your entries just list the subject lines, but not the content of any post. If I click on an individual post (of yours), then I see the post, as it stands. Very very strange. Never had any problems with friends and phone posts before, so I'm not sure if the problem is with my journal, LJ, browsers, or what. *scratches head*

And, likewise, after I left a comment, it only showed that my comment existed (with my icon) but not the text of the comment, unless I tried to reply to myself - then I could read what I wrote. *kicks LJ*

I had the same problem this morning, but I switched my layout from an S2 layout to an S1 layout and the problem was fixed. Apparently there's some sort of conflict between S2 and the new voice post player.

I switched back to the S1 layout and tried switching back to S2, but that didn't fix the problem. Perhaps I have to wait until my phone post leaves my front page?

I don't really know - I switched to an S1 layout and just left it that way, and I can read my friends page fine. (I don't really have a lot of effort invested in my layout, so it was no big deal to me to do this.)

Thanks for the pointer. I've switched back to my old S1 style for now. Now if I can remember how to update my links, seeing as the ones there are from over a year ago. :-P

It was very nice to have a voice to go with the words. And I learned how you pronounce "Delia". For some reason I'd assumed the "e" was a short e (like in bell).

FWIW, I use S2 layout and I didn't have any problems with your phone post on my friends' list. I use my style when I view my flist -- the url for me right now is:

*grin* hrmm same here. Having never had the chance to hear you speak, I found it to be quite a neat opportunity to hear the voice of an author Ive liked for quite a while. :)
Btw I found you by browsing through [livejournal.com profile] rolanni 's friends page. I hope you don't mind that I've friended you.

Friend away! Welcome to my LiveJournal.

I am struck by how similar your voice is to your sisters' voices and your mother's. Cindy's is faster; Betsy's is higher; your mother lacks the Minnesotan accent, of course, and is lower. But all your voices have a familial similarity running through. So good to hear your voice!
