Fiona is testing for her red belt tomorrow. Delia plans to start karate again once she is done with ballet, about halfway through March.

Since Fiona will be an advanced belt, her classes will be switching days. Delia will resume the old schedule until she gets her red, which will maybe take a couple months.

So the karate schedule will be Fiona Monday, Delia Tuesday, both skip class on Wednesday (since it's church supper and Fiona has confirmation), Delia Thursday, Fiona Friday, both on Saturday.

*whimper*

Y'know, you're making me really glad that my three older kids were never interested in organized activities.

(Of course, there were weeks when we had a medical appointment every day ...)

Hey, it could be worse - you don't have cows to milk. (On second thought you do have to ride heard on a buncha lawyers...)

I dunno, Peg, but *my* first reaction to that is the hell with karate, teach Delia to DRIVE!

(More seriously, I'm kinda wondering whether there's anyone else in your area who has kids in the same dojo -- it sounds like a situation where carpooling might help two or three families at one fell swoop...)

There's an idea with potential. That's a LOT of karate!

There is also a bus. If they're going to the karate school I think they are, it might not even need a transfer.

I have checked, believe me. The official word from the Metro Transit website is "you can't get here from there." And bicyling isn't an option for them with those big sparring bags (and not to mention dangerous; the roads they'd have to traverse are incredibly busy).

Our next door neighbor has a daughter who is also taking lessons, and we do carpool with them some, but O. is a few belts behind my girls, so they will be in different classes until O. catches up to red belt. Then it will definitely help.

Been there, done that! This fall we had Steve-Judo Mon/Wed, Brian TKD Tues/Thurs, Matthew/Steve soccer Thurs, Matthew soccer Friday, Steve soccer Sat! Glad that's over. Urgh. Is it drop off and pick up or do you stay for the class. Could you bring a pad and paper or a book and read / write during that time? Making the best of it...it won't last long....just until Delia gets her red.
