Oooh, shiny! I bumped in some birthday cash from my family to get the 30 GB model.

Have loaded with eleven days worth of songs.

That's one of my favorite features, the "how long could I drive and not listen to the same song" count.

They make a 30 GB iPod?

Here I was so proud of my 2 GB Nano...

It's okay, Nano. I still love you.

(decides not to mention the 60GB model)

Don't forget that the Nano is far, far smaller and lighter (and more robust) than the larger capacity units.

Yay for you! (I'm guessing you got a video iPod, just looking at the memory.)

I've discovered that these little buggers are really easy to scratch up, so one thing I'd suggest is an iPod protector. I got one at Radio Shack (a little pricey at $30.00) that's soft rubber, and comes with a screen cover. It's made by Speck Products.

Here's a link showing the type of cover I'm talking about:

I tried pulling up the Speck Products site ( www.speckproducts.com ), but couldn't pull up anything.

Thanks. I did get a protective cover for it.

Other than the one that came with it? Because it was pretty much useless IMHO.

Have fun with the thingie
