Gacked from Bruce Schneier here: An improv group in New York dressed similarly to Best Buy employees and went into a store, secretly video taping the results.
Security guards and managers started talking to each other frantically on their walkie-talkies and headsets. "Thomas Crown Affair! Thomas Crown Affair!," one employee shouted. They were worried that were using our fake uniforms to stage some type of elaborate heist. "I want every available employee out on the floor RIGHT NOW!"
Read the entry. It's hilarious.

Rob works at CompUSA. I'll have to ask him how he thinks the management would react if somebody tried it at his store.

We have a reverse problem where I work. I'm an usher and instead of uniforms, we're just told to dress nicely and wear a name tag. Often times, patrons don't see the name tags (or they're covered up by our hair, etc.) and are dismissive or down right rude when we try to do our job. It doesn’t help that the everyone on the staff is students and most of the patrons are elderly.

My brother and I were at Best Buy yesterday and he told me about this. Have you read the one about the Moebius strip yet? Hilarious! I'd probably die laughing if people did that in my cafe.

Yes! I was reading about their exploits on their site, and I laughed very hard at that one.

That's just so many kinds of funny. I can imagine the BB management losing their tiny minds. :> "Thomas Crown Affair!" Hahahahaha!

*giggle* I loved this; I linked it a few days back. If you go to their "Missions" page, you'll find another one called "cell phone symphony". I was extremely fond of that one, too.

For some reason this makes me think of the ACT-UP action we did 10 or 15 years ago (after we crashed the Aquatennial parade) where we all dressed up like cowboys for some reason or another.
