Onto the HBP.

Rob has to work this entire holiday weekend. The girls are already horribly bored, but I'm stuck reading and then starting to write the paper. I thought of taking them to a waterpark; at least I could read there, but none of the cheaper outdoor ones are open yet, and the indoor ones are inexpensive.

I'm stunned with how quickly you're reading these books. Is this a normal pace or are you able to read them faster since you have read them before?

I am an abnormally fast reader.

I find when viewing/reading a series all together like that, particularly when it's something I've read before and am just going through for refresher, you sometimes see interesting patterns, progressions or interconnections and other details that you miss when you just read them one at a time (or read for the first time). Are you finding anything interesting like that, on your marathon read? Or are you too focused on your topic to really look for anything else?

Yes, I am discovering new cross-patterns this time through, some of which I hope will prove useful for the paper. I am flagging passages which touch upon the theme of memory (and there are some in each book) but reading each book in their entirety.

It was interesting re-reading Goblet of Fire, too, for the first time since seeing the movie. It did make the experience rather different.
