Some on my friends list linked to this over the fourth of July holiday weekend; I'm just catching up now because we were out of town then. Here's a six and a half minute version of Superstition performed by Stevie Wonder and his band sometime during the 1970s:

As [profile] whumpdotcomsaid, this is not a tamed-down white kids' version, it's an awesome wall of funk. V. cool.

Thank you SO MUCH for posting that! I bookmarked the link without watching it, because I knew my father and brother would want to see it. The next day I showed it to him, and he just about jumped for joy. The drummer -- the one you see at the very beginning of the clip, playing the set -- is a friend of his (named Wilson Owens, if you cared) who was in a band with him from about 1991-1995. He gave my brother his first drum lessons, and, for that matter, the set of drums that my brother still plays on gigs everywhere.

But anyway. Thank you again, and my dad, brother, and various other people thank you, too!
