Found out about this at Neil Gaiman's blog (syndicated to LiveJournal at [livejournal.com profile] gaimanblog):

Author Yellow Pages looks like a really good idea: a place to find out about the webpages of authors. And a place that the authors among you can submit their own websites.

Why would I want to pay $75 (which is what this site charges for a basic author's listing) to be just another name on a long, long list of names? Unless I'm missing something, I don't see much value in it -- if someone wants to look up my website, all they have to do is google it. And that's free.

Hmm, yes, you're right. I was thinking more in terms of findingauthor's web pages rather than listing myself.

But you're right, it is probably needlessly expensive.
