Poor Fiona is mush for brains. She has a bad cold and she was up late babysitting last night. She slept most of the afternoon when she got home from school. I sent her to bed at 8:30.

I just heard the shower running and wondered, "Why the heck is Rob taking a shower this time of night?" Turns out it was Fiona. She woke up at 10:45 p.m., and thought it was time to get up for school. I came into the bathroom to find her dripping wet and staring into the mirror like a deer in the headlights, totally confused as to day and night.

Poor thing. I have sent her back to bed and told her to stay there this time.

I have the same problem when my sleep schedule gets out of wack. Especially with it getting dark so early it's easy to look at the clock, see that it's 7:30 and think that is 7:30 a.m. Hope Fiona feels better after a good night's sleep. The shower probably made her feel better for a little bit anyway. Poor thing.

I have done this, too. Not recently, but on occasion. The split work that I'm doing, with early morning meetings, free afternoons, and late night meetings isn't actually leaving me a solid six hour block for sleeping in this week, so the tired feeling is just growing. Poor kid. Sounds like she's starting the "high school stressor" schedule. **sends chicken soup to the both of you**

Oh, the poor thing. I hope she's feeling better this morning.

Wow classic brain failure moment. :) You can remind her about that again when she's 30.

I have done this exact thing before. I came home late from babysitting, wasn't feeling well, went to the bathroom in the middle of the night, had no idea why I was there and decided I must have come in to take a bath, and my Dad knocked on the door and asked who the heck was running a bath at 1 am.

give her a sage, rosemary and mint tea. Its magic. Three days, if the is not better, 7 days, no more than that.

Everyone here at home always takes it. apart from the taste which is pretty good, its wonderful for colds.
