Advice re: woodcarving for Delia?

Anyone know someone locally here in the twin cities who might be willing to help Delia do a beginning woodcarving project? We don't have any tools (and frankly, I'm not keen to invest in them, if this interest doesn't go anywhere). Is there anyone out there who has tools, who would be willing to show her how to do a simple beginning project?

I've tried step one, which is sending an email to the Laurels' list to see if you have anyone who is known for teaching wood carving. Let's see what that turns up.
