I was sorely tempted to rip out his intestines tonight.

This was the very first time for weeks he has had a day off timed so that he could be available to drive the girls to karate.

"You know, I don't really feel like taking them," he said. "Why don't you do it?"

At the death glare I gave him, he quickly said, "Uh, never mind. I'll take them."

Wise man.

Me, I'd have provided him with a demonstration on how effectively two talented young women can incapacitate a grown man. Y'know, since he didn't want them to do their training at the dojo. But that's just me; I like my justic poetic.

It's one thing to not complain, but it sounds like you have not-complained to the point that he could convince himself it really isn't a pain in your butt. (At least until he received the death glare.) Perhaps a little more complaining might be in order.

Rob, if you read this, I want to acknowledge you for driving the girls to karate. You said you didn't feel like it, and then you picked up on Peg's communication and agreed to drive them. This was a good thing for everybody.

Thank you. It was worse than it had to be because I ran off to get them there on time and left the new Vince Flynn on the entry table which was where I set it down when I put on my shoes to go. I had to make do with two week old crosswords left in my coat pocket which had frayed to the point that one column of the clues had no numbers associated with them. Truly advanced puzzle work when you don't know where the lines begin and end, and don't know where the answers are supposed to go.
