I was sorely tempted to rip out his intestines tonight.

This was the very first time for weeks he has had a day off timed so that he could be available to drive the girls to karate.

"You know, I don't really feel like taking them," he said. "Why don't you do it?"

At the death glare I gave him, he quickly said, "Uh, never mind. I'll take them."

Wise man.

You probably should not rip out his intestines: the girls won't help you clean them up.

Under the circumstances, I think any jury would consider it justifiable homicide, but I'm glad he saw the light in time...

If you rip out his colon, can I have it? :P

Because you like playing chauffer. Honestly. *thwaps Rob with rolled-up newspaper*

He didn't think that statement through before it came out of his mouth, did he?

Me, I'd have provided him with a demonstration on how effectively two talented young women can incapacitate a grown man. Y'know, since he didn't want them to do their training at the dojo. But that's just me; I like my justic poetic.

It's one thing to not complain, but it sounds like you have not-complained to the point that he could convince himself it really isn't a pain in your butt. (At least until he received the death glare.) Perhaps a little more complaining might be in order.

Hey, gotta give the guy points for catching on to the nonverbal communication clues! We guys are notoriously bad at those. Plus, he was honest about his feelings! I think we're seeing real progress here.

Hahahaha... not to mock your pain but I really do wish I'd been there to see it! As long as the death glare wasn't directed at *me*, of course.

Somehow I think it appropriate ......

....if you throw that one back at him this week.

"You know I don't really feel like making dinner for you, why don't you do it?"

"I don't really feel like washing your dirty clothes, why don't you do it"

etc.....

I'm giggling over here. B is only 14 1/2 months old and we've already seen things like this happen a couple of times. My death glare is getting REALLY GOOD :).

Rob, if you read this, I want to acknowledge you for driving the girls to karate. You said you didn't feel like it, and then you picked up on Peg's communication and agreed to drive them. This was a good thing for everybody.

The universe is a better place. Yup, indeed.

Thank you. It was worse than it had to be because I ran off to get them there on time and left the new Vince Flynn on the entry table which was where I set it down when I put on my shoes to go. I had to make do with two week old crosswords left in my coat pocket which had frayed to the point that one column of the clues had no numbers associated with them. Truly advanced puzzle work when you don't know where the lines begin and end, and don't know where the answers are supposed to go.

I bet it's still less pleasant when you're sitting there and you keep putting your book down to stare at the class because you're wishing so hard that you could be out there on the dojo floor too.
