I saw the paper and felt a terrible chill at the news of his execution. Just sick horror. I don't even know what to say.

We have come so far, as a nation, from where we should be.

What curdled my stomach is the realization that Hussein got more of a fair trial than many imprisoned in this country.

But to hear Bush praising his fair trial when so many here are denied that right... it made my breakfast sit kinda funny.

Come on, be real. Conflating the DP and it's use here in the US flawed as it is and Saddams trial is a bit of a stretch. Bush as Prez has very little to do w/what happens on a state level and thats where 99.9999% of DP cases are handled.
