I got up and walked two and a half miles before six a.m. and so now am feeling pleasantly virtuous. I couldn't exercise in my office because it's such a mess. Office clean up/getting back to writing is on the agenda for this weekend.

I walked around the lake near my home, enjoying the coolness, the calm blue-tinged light just after dawn. I liked looking at the houses and gardens as I went, looking like set pieces, waiting for their actors.

I have e-mail, for the moment. The main computer still has a lot of problems, but the worst seems past. I hope. Gotta dash to get ready for work.

Congratulations on finally getting access to your email. How many hundreds of unread messages do you have?

Rob and I share an e-mail in-box. The problem was one of his two e-mail accounts had 600 messages waiting, 90% of which were spam. That's why I didn't actually have many messages waiting. They had all been bounced by our service provider.
